NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Presidents picked up a pair of Collegiate Water Polo Association victories with an 11-0 win over Monmouth (Ill.) and a 15-3 triumph against Utica.
Washington & Jefferson's women's water polo squad improves to 13-7 on the year and 10-1 against CWPA opponents. The Presidents have three games remaining at Connecticut College on Saturday, March 28, including a 2 p.m. match-up against the host and first-place Camels.
In the opener against Monmouth,
Aliya Abdelhak led the way with three goals, while
Alexandra Gartner,
Brittany Patterson and
Allison Rocha each scored twice.
Morgan Kinyon made four saves in goal.
A total of 10 Presidents scored against Utica as
Sarah Latzo led the way with four goals, while Abdelhak and Rocha each found the back of the net twice. Kinyon notched five saves in the victory.
